Every project at monday.com lives in two places at once: its own board, where the day-to-day work happens, and the team's Portfolio board, where leadership sees status across every project at a glance. As a new dev, one of your first tasks is standing up a board for your own project and wiring it into that portfolio correctly.
By the end of this workshop, you'll have a working project board with the right columns, connected to your team's Portfolio board, with status flowing upward automatically.
Here's what you'll do across four modules:
Module 1 โ Find and understand the Portfolio board
Locate it and learn what it expects from connected project boards
Module 2 โ Create your project board
Set it up in the right workspace with the right columns
Module 3 โ Connect it to the Portfolio board
Link items and add a Mirror column so status rolls up automatically
Module 4 โ Verify the connection
Test end-to-end and confirm leadership can see your project's status
